Stop Bullying Now

Bullying is not tolerated at Tinsley Elementary. During today's assembly, students were reminded of the long term affects that bullying can have on a person. They also learned what they can do to stop it from happening. Here's a PSA created by some of our fourth grade students to encourage others to do what's right and to not be a bully.

TES Garden Build-out Day

Tinsley rocked the yard this past Saturday at our Garden Build-out! We had around 100volunteers from family to friends! Together we raised 6 garden beds and prepped for 4handicap accessible beds to be installed on Nov. 2nd. Shout outs to HISD food services, Julie Spreckelmeyer, for catering a delicious and nutritious breakfast and Whole Foods Bellaire for providing wholesome snacks and 365 water bottles for all. Also to our garden gurus from Urban Harvest, you all are the salt of the earth. We are so excited and blessed to have you as our school partners for the next 3 year. Thanks for leading by example!

Limeade Recipe

This week in culinary, Mrs. Karavias class harvested limes from our own trees, learned to hold a chef knife, peeled, squeezed and collected juice, made a “solution” by dissolving sugar into water to make a simple sugar, then they mixed it up and served it over ice for a Tangy & Tart Limeade—REFRESHING! Check out the limeade recipe below.

Millionaire Club Stars

All students in the Houston Independent School District were asked to read a minimum of five books over the summer break. The following students read over 20 books this summer. Way to go! Go to this link for more info on the Millionaire Club .
